Robert Bly is one of the world's most influential poets, a social activist and cultural troublemaker. His bestseller Iron John (1990) was translated into twenty languages and sent a million men drumming into the woods. He is now in his 90th year. A Thousand Years of Joy describes Bly's journey from farm boy to global troubadour and features contributions from Joseph Campbell, Gary Snyder, Jane Hirshfield, Mark Rylance, Leonard Lewisohn and many others.
